WILLIAM "BILLY" G. HOWARD

     Newington – William “Billy” Griner Howard, age 78, of Newington, husband of Veronica Howard, passed away on Tuesday night, October 25, 2022, at East Georgia Reginal Medical Center-Statesboro.

     Billy was born in Sylvania, GA, to the late couple Samuel Howard and Clauselle Griner Howard on December 8, 1943. He was a U.S. Marine Sergeant Vietnam veteran. Billy was the head of the finishing department at King America Finishing, Inc in Sylvania, Ga, and a deacon at the Union Baptist Church.

     In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his daughter, Holly Howard and brother, Sammy Howard.

     Those who will cherish his memories are his loving wife, Veronica Stokes Howard; daughters and sons-in-law, Heather & Clint Porter, Heidi & Mark Chauhan and three grandchildren.  

     The family will receive friends Monday, October 31, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Union Baptist Church in Sylvania, GA. The funeral service will commence at 3:00 p.m., officiated by Rev. Al Usher and Rev. Vernon Edenfield, with internment to follow at the Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
