COVID-19 Facility Update
Announcement from Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home:
During the current COVID-19 situation, it is our duty to be proactive and informed for the welfare of our staff, families, and community. While we choose to walk by faith and not fear, we must exercise sound judgment, respect, and comply with guidelines from the CDC, the State of Georgia and local authorities while continuing to serve our families in their times of need.
Effective immediately and in place until further notice, the following guidelines have been adopted:
-Please limit in-person visits to necessary pre-need and at-need funeral business, including financial and insurance matters. We will be happy to assist via telephone or email. We will continue to be accessible 24 hours a day.
-With the current recommendations to limit mass gatherings to 10 people, we will conduct only graveside/memorial services in open, outdoor areas with immediate family only and will follow the CDC social distancing recommendations of 6 ft distance between individuals.
-Formal public visitations have been suspended until further notice. Private viewings for immediate family members only will be arranged on an individual basis. We will help families to arrange and hold Memorial Services or Celebrations of Life at a later date, when guidelines deem it safe to do so.
We sincerely appreciate your understanding as we work diligently to serve this community. As the CDC, State of Georgia and our local authorities release more guidelines and statements, we will revisit our plan above to stay in compliance. We pray for the safety and well-being of all!
