STATESBORO, GEORGIA

William Truman Howard, age 78, passed away on Saturday afternoon, December 23, 2023, at his residence with family by his side.

Truman was born on May 31, 1945, in Sylvania, GA, to the late Joseph A. Howard and Molly M. Howard. Truman was the owner of Best Quality Housing before retiring in 1998. Truman enjoyed fishing and hunting and was known for having a “green thumb”. He enjoyed spending time in his garden.

Truman was preceded in death by his late wife, Dollie Bragg Howard and his sisters, Mary Howard Davis and Marcell Howard Burnett.

Those who will cherish his memory include his son, William “Billy” Howard, Jr.; daughter and son-in-law, Donna & Curtis Flowers; his granddaughters, Krystal Flowers and Courtney Flowers; his honorary granddaughters, Brianna P.W. Robbins and Brittany Webb; brothers and sister-in-law, Bobby & Rita Howard, Tony Howard; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lois Rahn, Shirley & Bobby Wilson, Catherine Howard, Tonya & Bill Ramsey; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 3 PM on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at Screven County Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Brad Proudfoot officiating.
