Brookhaven, GA– Valla Maria Rider, age 65, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2020, in DeKalb County, GA. She was born in Sylvania, GA on September 14, 1954, to Dr. Noah H. Rider and the late Valeria Mills Rider.

Survivors: Her Father and Step-Mother: Dr. Noah H. & Rita Lynn Rider of Dacula, GA; Significant Other: Paul Rodriquez of Brookhaven, GA; Aunt and Uncle:  Barbara Mills and Gene Newton of Atlanta; Cousin:  Matthew Newton of Atlanta; Step-Sister and Brother-In-Law: Heather & Garth Walters of Acworth, GA;  and 3 Step-Nieces.

Visitation: Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.

Graveside Service: Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 3:00 P.M. at Screven County Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Kent officiating.  Burial following.
