VERA WOODS

     Vera Lee Sellers Woods, 54, of Millen, Georgia, and wife of Alfred Woods, Sr., passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Pruitt Health Bethany Nursing Center, in Jenkins County.

     She was born May 5, 1967, in Melbourne, Florida. She worked as a truck driver and loved the open road. The only thing she loved more was being with family. Her hobbies included spending all the time she could with her grandchildren.

     She was preceded in death by her parents Angela Baxley and Bob Lee Sellers, Sr. and her sister-in-law, Sandra Sellers.

     Vera is survived by her husband, Alfred Woods, Sr.; her daughters, Shannon Suarez (Caleb) and Savannah Flakes; her son, Rickie Buttree; 7 grandchildren, Destiny Flakes, Brayden Flakes, Austyn Flakes, MaKynnah Flakes, Andres Suarez, Leilani Suarez, and Skylynn Hawkins; a sister, Melissa King (Kenneth); her brother Bob ‘Lee’ Sellers, Jr.; her niece, Deondra King; and her nephews, Sidney McKinney and Daniel McKinney.

     The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 12:00 noon on Friday, December 10, 2021, at Habersham United Methodist Church, in Perkins, Georgia.

     The funeral service will follow at 12 noon on Friday, December 10, 2021, at Habersham United Methodist Church, in Perkins, Georgia. Burial will follow at Habersham United Methodist Church Cemetery.
