TERESA NEOLYN FOREHAND GODBEE

     Teresa Forehand Godbee of Sylvania, GA, passed away on Saturday morning, July 1, 2023, at Pine View Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

     Teresa was born on September 29, 1925, in Hiltonia, GA, to the late couple, Stafford Bernard Forehand and Mattie Jenkins Forehand. Teresa was a homemaker, and a member of both Hiltonia United Methodist Church and Bethany United Methodist Church. She served as a Sunday school teacher for over 40 years, enjoyed flowers and gardening, and loved spending time with her nieces and nephews.

     In addition to her parents, Stafford & Mattie Forehand, Teresa was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Godbee; sisters, Sara Alice Ward, Dorothy Forehand, Robyn F. Reddick; brothers, Ray J. Forehand, Lavaughn Forehand, C.L. (Sam) Forehand, Terry Forehand and Redell Forehand.

     Survivors include her sister, Maurice F. Sharpe; sister-in-law, Vivian Forehand; and many nieces and nephews.

     A visitation will take place on Monday, July 3, 2023, at 1 P.M. in the Hiltonia United Methodist Church Chapel. The funeral service will commence at 2 P.M. with Rev. Jay Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Bethany United Methodist Church Cemetery in Girard, GA.
