SARAH BOWEN BRAGG

Sarah Elizabeth Bowen Bragg, age 85, of Evans, Georgia, passed away on Friday morning, April 14, 2023, at Doctor’s Hospital of Augusta, Georgia.

Sarah was born on August 6, 1937, to the late couple Lester and Stella Redd Bowen. Sarah was a homemaker and a member of Middle Ground Baptist Church in Sylvania, Georgia. She was an avid reader.

In addition to her parents, Sarah was preceded in death by her husband Rabun G. Bragg, two sisters, Celeste Bennett and Amelia Hernlen and a son Michael Alan Bragg.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Joyce Ann & Jerry D. Boswell, sons David Lester Bragg and Jonathan Bragg, and three grandchildren, Joshua Grant Forehand, Brandon Drew Forehand, and Faith Lee Bragg. She also has one great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home on Sunday, April 16, 2023, from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. The funeral service will commence at 3:00 P.M. with Dr. Charlie Cooper officiating. Interment will follow at Screven County Memorial Cemetery, in Sylvania, Georgia.
