Robert Ralph Woodcock

Sylvania - Robert Ralph Woodcock, 84, of Sylvania, passed away Friday afternoon, May 7, 2021, at his home under the care of his loving family and Kindred Southern Care Hospice.  He was born February 1, 1937, in Metter, Georgia to the late Ralph and Edna Lee Woodcock.  He loved antiques, NASCAR racing, and enjoyed taking his grandchildren fishing.  He served his country in the U. S. Air Force for several years.  He was a self-employed carpenter and before his retirement he worked for Georgia Southern University for 10 years and was a member of Douglas Branch Baptist Church in Screven County.  He was preceded in death by:  His Parents, His Wives, Margie Partin Woodcock and Abbie Jean Woodcock, His Daughters, Teresa Ann Atkins and Linda Gail Ferrell, and a Sister, Peggy Rewis.

Survivors include:  Daughters and Sons-in-Law:  Jennifer W. and Mark Zenker of Colorado Springs, CO, Bobbie Jean W. Lewellen of Panama City Beach , FL, Ginger Woodcock of Sylvania, and Cherie and Roger Slusser of Largo, FL.  a Son and Daughter-in-Law:  Willis and Elaina Cope of Ellabell, GA,  Sisters and Brothers-in-Law:  Betty and Buie Leveritts of Metter, GA and Judy and Dennis Hunnicutt of Atlanta, GA, 15 Grandchildren, 16 Great-Grandchildren, 4 Great-Great-Grandchildren, 1 Great-Great-Great Grandchild, and several Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Woodcock will be held Monday, May 10, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. in the Douglas Branch Baptist Church, 116 Douglas Branch Road, Rocky Ford, Georgia 30455, with the Rev. Wayne Powell officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery. He will lie in state at the church from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM for those who wish to visit with the family.

Pallbearers will be:  Chris Conti, Eric Willis, Roger Slusser, Joey Willis, Mark Zenker, and Ricky Huggard.
