SYLVANIA, GEORGIA

Rev. Dr. Wayne A. MacDonald, age 72, husband of Peggy MacDonald, of Sylvania, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2022, at his residence.

Rev. Dr. Wayne MacDonald was born in Hampton, Virginia on July 22, 1950, to the late couple Earl C. MacDonald and Elaine Robertson MacDonald. Rev. Dr. MacDonald was a U.S. Navy Vietnam veteran. He was a retired Ordained Elder of the South Georgia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church and a talented opera singer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Robin M. Disney.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Wingate MacDonald; sister, Kathy MacDonald; brother and sister-in-law, Michael & Dianne MacDonald; his aunt, Beverly M. Couchman and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
