Pastor H. Kermit "Ken" Wagers Obituary

Sylvania – Pastor H. Kermit “Ken” Wagers, age 77, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA. He was born in Perry County, KY to the late Millard & Gertrude Troxell Wagers. He was a retired minister and member of HIS Grace Church. He was also a U.S. Marine Corp. Veteran having served during the Viet Nam Era. “PK”, “Papa Kenny” or “Blue Eyes” as he was affectionately known, was loved by so many people. His love for the Lord was evident when you spent just a minute with him. He wanted everyone to know Jesus. He served as Pastor of HIS Grace Church after his retirement from Westinghouse in Hampton, SC. He will be deeply missed, but we know that he has a new body and is praising our Lord! He is so very loved by his family. He was preceded in death by his Parents; Siblings: Albert Charles Wagers, Clarissa Fugate, Carma Jewel Wagers, Walter H. Wagers, Mollie Imogen York, Franklin D. Wagers, Raleigh James Wagers, Carolyn Sue Smith and Nancy Dale Wagers.

Survivors: Wife: Cathy Regene Garner Wagers of Sylvania; Daughters and Son-In-Laws: Tonya W. & Travis Zetterower of Statesboro, GA and Renae W. & Todd Nafziger of Lovettsville, VA; Sons and Daughter-In-Law: Jason & Christine Martin of Stone Mountain, GA and Jeremy Webb of Newborn, GA; Sisters and Brothers-In-Law: Sharon & Todd Betsill of Hampton, GA and Midge & Leland Slaven of Whitley City, KY; Brothers & Sisters-In-Law: Nick & Ruth Wagers of Oviedo, FL and Johnny & Jean Wagers of Rome, GA; Sister-In-Law: Marilyn Garner of Brookwood, AL; Grandchildren: Taylor Zetterower, Tucker Zetterower, Isaiah Nafziger, Elijah Nafziger, Lily Jean Nafziger, Jessica Marie Webb and Riley Webb; Several Nieces and Nephews.

Graveside Services: Sunday, December 27, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Screven County Memorial Cemetery with Ted Lariscy officiating. Burial following.
