MARGARET LARISEY

SYLVANIA, GEORGIA 

     Margaret Larisey, age 75, of Sylvania, widow of George Arnold Larisey passed away on Monday evening, January 16, 2023, at Syl-View Nursing Home.

     Margaret was born on July 14, 1947, in Twin City, Georgia, to the late George Ivey Johnson, Sr and the late Selma Christine Greenway. She was a member of the West Millen Baptist Church. Margaret enjoyed country music, cooking, time with her dogs and her rocking in chair on the front porch. Above all else Margaret loved playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

     In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret was preceded in death by her sisters, Inez, Teresa, Flavor, and her brother, Larry.

     Those who will cherish her memories are her son and daughter-in-law, Scottie & Joanie Larisey; sisters, Sarah Larisey, Margie Fouche, Selma Hendley; brothers, “Buddy” George Ivey Johnson, Jr., John Alma Johnson; grandchildren, Miranda McClain, Katie McClain, Bailey Larisey, Kayndance Larisey, Brysten Larisey, Leighann Jenkins, William Larisey, Airell Larisey, Krystal Jenkins and 11 great-grandchildren.

     Visitation will take place on Friday, January 20, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. at the West Millen Baptist Church. Rev. Andy Allen will officiate the funeral service that will commence at 11:00 A.M., with interment to follow at Millen City Cemetery.
