Jerry Friese

Sylvania – Jerry Friese, age 68, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at his residence in Sylvania. He was born in Jenkins County to the late Virgil, Sr. & Nevada Griner Friese. He worked at Koyo Bearings Plant as a setter operator in the grinding department for 36 years and was a member of Goloid Baptist Church. He enjoyed working on cars, doing yard work and building things with his hands. Besides his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his Son: Bob Friese; Sister: Mary Friese Nicholson; Brothers: Henry Friese, Harold Friese and Jimmy “Happy” Friese.

Survivors: Wife: Fannie Kay Kirkland Friese of Sylvania; Son and Daughter-In-Law: Jerry Glenn & Melissa Friese of Sylvania; Brothers and Sister-In-Law: Virgil “Shorty” Friese, Jr. of Millen, GA, Ed Friese of Sylvania, Tom & Levada Friese of Jesup, GA; Brother-In-Law: Bill Nicholson of Sylvania; Sisters-In-Law: Frances Friese of Jesup, GA and Shirley Friese of Savannah, GA; 6 Step-Grandchildren; Several nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services: Friday, February 12, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Goloid Cemetery with Rev. Chad Wall officiating. Burial following. Visitation will be held after the services at the cemetery.

Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.
