James “Jim” Barton Cottle, age 71, of Sylvania, husband of Kathy Cottle, passed away on Friday evening, November 17, 2023, at his residence in Sylvania.

Jim was born in Akron, Oh, on June 25, 1952, to the late couple James Frederick & Imogene Barton Cottle. He was an aviation engineer, retired from Gulfstream Aerospace and a U.S. Army Reserve veteran. Jim was a member of the Antioch Christian Church. He enjoyed all things outdoors, hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was an avid race fan and enjoyed woodworking.      He loved a good joke and making others laugh. Now, the heavens will be shaking with laughter.
