CAROL MOCK

       Carol Jean Mock, age 73, of Statesboro, Georgia, peacefully passed away on Friday afternoon, April 14, 2023, surrounded by her loving family, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro, Georgia.

     Carol was born on June 27, 1949, to the late couple Madison and Mamie Lou Oglesby Mock. Carol was an accountant by occupation. She was a member of Jackson Baptist Church in Screven County. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, cooking, and the mountains. She had a heart for rescuing cats. Carol loved her family dearly.

     Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Rachel and Michael Baylor; five sisters, Marsha Mock, Peggy Callaham, Vicki Evans, Diane Wise and Zellie Wise; a brother and sister-in-law, George and Geneva Mock; grandchildren, Andrew Baylor, Evie Baylor, Iris Baylor, and Lauren Dame; nieces and nephew, Whitney & Robert Dame, Kaylee Mock, Jarret Mock, Jordan Jackson Howard, Rose Marie Burke, Bailee Brown, and Dallas Brown, as well as a special childhood friend, Marsha Hodges Chastain.

     The funeral service will be held at Jackson Baptist Church on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at 3:30 P.M. with the Reverend Ralph Dixon officiating. Interment will follow in the Jackson Baptist Church Cemetery.
