William Randall Hunt

William Randall “Randy” Hunt, 59, of Sylvania passed away on April 22, 2026 at East Georgia Regional Hospital in Statesboro, Georgia.

Randy was a master carpenter by trade and an avid fisherman. He loved his family, his friends, his dogs, and sharing stories with those around him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Willie T. Hunt of Sylvania; his paternal grandparents, Settler and Rosie Hunt of Lakeview, South Carolina; and his maternal grandparents, William “Dub” and Cora Lee Taylor.

He is survived by his mother, Gloria Jean Hunt of Sylvania; his sister and brother-in-law, Christa and Greggory Benedict of Crofton, MD; his brother, Jason Hunt of Sylvania; and his sister, Amy Hunt of Sylvania. He is also survived by his niece, Novelyn, and nephews Reid, Riley, Weston, and Ren, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of longtime friends.

Funeral arrangements will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026. Visitation will begin at 3 PM, with the funeral service starting at 4 PM, at Thompson-Strickland-Waters, Joiner Anderson Chapel, 202 Ennis St., Sylvania, GA 30467. Interment will be held at a later date.
