Vickie Perryman

July 6, 1955 — January 17, 2026

SYLVANIA

Vickie (Burke) Perryman, age 70, of Sylvania, Georgia, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Vickie passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, January 17, 2026, surrounded by her loving family, after a brief illness.

Vickie was a devoted and compassionate nurse who dedicated her life to caring for others. Her kindness, strength, and gentle spirit touched countless lives throughout her career and beyond. Outside of nursing, she found great joy in gardening, where she grew the most beautiful flowers—each one a reflection of the love and care she poured into everything she did.

She was also an accomplished barrel racer and spent many cherished weekends traveling to horse shows with her daughter and their horse show family. Those weekends were filled with friendship, laughter, and memories she deeply treasured. Vickie loved all of God’s creatures and found joy in caring for them, whether in the garden, the pasture, or at home.

Above all, Vickie cherished her family. She was an amazing wife, mother, loyal friend, and a steady source of love and encouragement. She adored her family and held a special place in her heart for her grand-dog, Rip. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and love.

Vickie was preceded in death by her mother, Geneva Sharpe; her father, William Bo Burke; and her brother, Jimmy Cochran.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Nathan Perryman; her daughter, Tracey Perryman; her sisters, Faye Ferguson (David Ferguson) and Shannon Raffield (Bruce Raffield); her brothers, William Craig Burke (Donna Burke) and Al Sharpe; as well as many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews whom she loved dearly. She also leaves behind many cherished friends who were truly family.

Vickie’s legacy of love, faith, compassion, and service will live on through all who were blessed to know her. While we mourn her passing, we find comfort in knowing she is at peace, embraced in the arms of Jesus.

A memorial service to honor Vickie's life will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Thompson Strickland Waters, Joiner Anderson Chapel. The family will greet friends following the service.

“Well done, good and faithful servant.” -Matthew 25:23
