Teresa Lynn Burke

Teresa Burke, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully on September 13, 2026. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and kindness that will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

She was a devoted Christian woman, whose faith in God was the foundation of her life. She loved the Lord and shared the love through the way she lived. She was always caring, giving, encouraging, and making others feel welcome and loved.

Her greatest joy was her family. She loved her children and cherished every moment with her grandchildren. Her love for her family was unconditional, and she was always there with a listening ear, a comforting word, a warm hug, or a prayer. Her grandchildren brought tremendous happiness to her heart, and she treasured the memories they made together.

She also had a special gift for children. Throughout the years she cared for and loved many children, treating each one as though they were her own. Her gentle spirit, patience, warmth, and nurturing heart made children feel safe, valued, and loved. The impact she had on those young lives will continue for generations.

She will be remembered for her kind heart, her strength, her beautiful faith, and the love she’s so freely given to others. Our hearts are heavy with her passing, we find comfort, knowing that she is now at peace and resting in the loving arms of her savior.

Her memory will live on through her husband, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, family, friends, and all those whose life she touched. She leaves behind not only precious memories, but also the lasting example of what it means to love God, love, family, and love others.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Juanita Parker and brother, Eddie.

Teresa is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Danny Burke; her children, Karen Lee (Chase) and Shane Burke (Mallory); her grandchildren, Parker, Sophia, Hayden, Kaydence, Hadleigh; brothers, Kim (Michelle), Randy (Deborah) and Joey (Carol); in-laws, Robert (Voncille), Wayne (Julie), and Brenda (Craig).

Visitation will be from 6:00pm ~ 8:00pm on Thursday, September 17, 2026 at Thompson Strickland Waters, Joiner Anderson Chapel.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, September 18, 2026 at Rocky Ford Baptist Church with interment following in Rocky Ford Cemetery. Pastor Wayne Bragg will be officiating the service.

Pallbearers will be: Kevin Parker, Jeremy Griffin, William Burke, Rick McNeely, Justin Smith, and Troy Ward.
