S. W. Lariscy, Jr.

Sylvania – S. W. “Dub” Lariscy, Jr., age 74, passed away Friday, August 6, 2021, at East Georgia Regional Hospital in Statesboro, GA. He was born in Screven County, GA to the late S. W., Sr., & Blanch Eloise Landing Lariscy.  He was retired from the Effingham County Road Department, was of Methodist faith and was a former member of the Nanny Goat Hunting Club.

Survivors: Wife: Patricia Moore Lariscy of Sylvania; Sons and Daughter-In-Law: Robert Jerry & Anita Hutcheson of Statesboro and Eddie Joe Schmitt of Rincon; Goddaughter: Melissa Dawn Johnson and her husband Tony of Pooler, GA; Sister: Dorothy L Jones of Sylvania; Grandchildren: Brandi H. Zelt of Statesboro, GA, Sasha Windham of Millen, GA, Matthew Hutcheson and Gage Hutcheson of Statesboro, GA; 6 Great-Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation: Monday, August 9, 2021, at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 7:00PM.

Funeral Service: Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at 11:00 AM at the Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Karen R. Zeigler officiating. Burial following at Screven County Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers: John Willie Rosier, Larry Cartee, Steven Bragg, Gary Walls, Jr., Douglas Doyle and Jarrell “Sport” Lariscy. Honorary Pallbearers: Jerry Bragg, Gary Doyle, Richard Waters and James Rosier.
