Mildred L. Coleman

Mildred L. Coleman, 95 of Sylvania passed away August 14, 2025 after an extended illness at home under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice.

She was born on Easter Sunday, April 20, 1930 in Egypt, GA to Marvin and Mary Elizabeth Long, but she spent most of her life in Screven County since the age of seventeen. In 2011, Ms. Coleman retired from Ross Drug Store where she was known to show her true talent and love of how to decorate and arrange what knots, picture frames or just to help the person in need of a special gift. Many other places of engagement also included Screven Drug Co., Dr. George Sindersine and the Farmers Stockyard.

She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, George C. Coleman (2012 - 2024), spouse, Clifford W. Bragg Sr. (1946 - 1993), son, Clifford W. Bragg Jr. and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors: Daughter Eileen B. Parker (John), Daughter-in-law Kim R. Bragg. Grandchildren: Stephanie B. Lewis (Kevin), Kiersten Tapley (Chris), Clifford Bragg III (Amber), Sidney Bragg (Shelly).

Great Grandchildren: Joshua Lewis, Branden Lewis, Alan Tapley (Haley), Christina (Nick), Aiden, Addison, and Avery Tapley; Kinley and Oakley Bragg; Kaydance, Dakota, Dawson, Hayes and Millie Bragg. Great-Great Grandchildren: Christian Tapley, Ryleigh Brackin, Emoree Johnson and Oliver Johnson. Sisters: Rebena Brower, Evelyn Jaudon (DeCardo); Sister-in-laws, Betty Jean Long, Barbara Long and several beloved nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Grandsons and Great Grandsons - Clifford Bragg III, Sidney Bragg, Joshua Lewis, Branden Lewis, Aiden Tapley, and Dawson Bragg.

Honorary Pallbearers: Mary Williams, Shayla Johnson, Joyce Hunter, and Jessica Young.

Special Thanks to Caregivers, Ogeechee Area Hospice, and Thompson Strickland Waters, Joiner Anderson Chapel.

Visitation will be at the Thompson Strickland Waters, Joiner Anderson Chapel, 202 Ennis St. Sylvania, GA on Saturday, August 16, 2025 from 10:00 - 11:00 am with a funeral service following at 11:00 am in the chapel.

Interment will be at Green Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Sylvania, GA.
