Marjorie Almatine Austin

Marjorie Almatine Fowler Austin, age 83, passed away at home surrounded by family Thursday, July 17, 2025. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 35 years, John Dorsey Austin, her parents, Joseph Hampton and Bessie Almatine Fowler and a sister and brother.

She is survived by her children, Rex Allen and Anna Austin, John Tracy Austin, and Melanie Louise and Bill Wilson all of Sylvania, GA. Grandmother and Great Grandmother of many.

Marjorie loved the outdoors and would spend hours cutting grass and enjoying the beautiful flowers and bright colors of the azaleas.

Family will gather at Thompson Strickland Waters, Joiner Anderson Chapel, 202 Ennis Street, Sylvania, on Monday, July 21, 2025 at 10:00 - 11:00 am.

Graveside Service will be at Newington Cemetery Monday, July 21, 2025 at 1:00 pm.

Officiating: Pastor Randall Moye

Thompson Strickland Waters, Joiner Anderson Chapel will be handling all of the arrangements.
