Margaret Christine Coward Bazemore, age 95 entered into rest Thursday, July 31, 2025. She was born in Charleston, South Carolina and lived most of her life in Screven County, Georgia. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She lived a long and vibrant life and had a strong love for gardening and the outdoors. She was known for her excellent cooking skills, most notably her scratch made biscuits and buttery pound cakes. She always had a passion for teaching and served for many years as a substitute teacher at Screven County Elementary School. She was also a proud member of the Brier Creek Chapter of The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George F. Bazemore, her parents, Aric and Mattie Coward, and her brother Wayne Coward. Survivors include: her daughter Diane Bazemore Weiss (Chuck), her granddaughter Leigh Weiss Lawing (Bryan), and her grandson Cal Weiss. Siblings include: Deloris Cox of Savannah, GA, Barbara Clements of Mansfield, OH, A.R. Coward and Earl Coward (Jeanette) of Screven County, GA. She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
