Loyd Alvie Taylor, Sr.

Sylvania – Loyd Alvie Taylor, Sr., age 79, passed away Thursday, August 5, 2021, at his sister’s residence in Savannah, GA. He was born in Screven County, GA to the late Emory Simon “Pete” & Eloise Mock Taylor. He was self-employed as a mechanic until his retirement. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Eugene Taylor, Emory Taylor and Richard Taylor.

Survivors: Sons: Mark Taylor of Fleming, GA, Loyd Taylor, Jr. and Michael Taylor of Sylvania; Sisters and Brothers-In-Law: Virginia & Jim Meadows and Rita & Bobby Howard, all of Sylvania and Linda & Chip Traub of Savannah, GA; Brothers and Sister-In-Law: Lewis & Cassandra Taylor and John Taylor, all of Sylvania; 6 Grandchildren; 9 Great-Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews; Daughter: Paula Marie Edwards of Savannah, GA.

A memorial service will be held at a later time.
