Jeffery G. Demmon

Apr 27, 1949 — Oct 7, 2026

SYLVANIA

Jeff Demmon was a man of deep faith, courage, and compassion who devoted his life to serving others. Born in San Antonio, Texas, on April 27, 1949, he passed away at his home in Sylvania, Georgia, on October 7, 2026. He leaves behind a legacy of service, mentorship, and love that will continue to touch the lives of all who knew him.

Jeff is survived by his beloved wife, Georgia Boswell, his cherished dog, Stella. He was also a treasured member of the extended Boswell family, where he found love, fellowship, and a sense of belonging. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Marjorie Demmon, and his brother, Curtis. His family settled in Tacoma, Washington, following his father's career in the United States Air Force.

Throughout his life, Jeff was committed to making a difference. One of his greatest passions was advocating for vulnerable foster children. For 11 years, he served as a volunteer foster children's advocate and board member of CASA Child Advocacy Services, standing up for children in foster care who needed someone in their corner. He found tremendous joy in hearing of their successes and knowing he had helped them move toward brighter futures. His dedication reflected his belief that every child deserves to be heard, protected, and given the opportunity to thrive.

Jeff was also a respected and enthusiastic member of the sporting clays community. Before moving to Sylvania, he managed the U.S. FITASC team, traveling with its members to competitions around the world. He competed locally and at the state level and especially enjoyed mentoring young and new shooters. For Jeff, the sport was about more than competition; it was about friendship, encouragement, and sharing his passion with others.

His Christian faith was central to his life. At Hiltonia Baptist Church, Jeff served as a deacon, Sunday School teacher, Bible study leader, chair of the Finance Committee, and leader of the church's outreach team. He gladly volunteered wherever he was needed, embracing the church as his family and living out his faith through service, fellowship, and sharing the love of the Lord.

Before moving to Georgia, Jeff enjoyed a successful career as an information technology executive and consultant in the Tacoma area. He founded Demmon Associates Consulting, serving major clients throughout the Seattle and Tacoma region. Earlier in life, he served in the United States Army in Vietnam, where he was wounded and awarded two Purple Hearts, reflecting his courage and sacrifice in service to his country.

Jeff will be remembered as a man who gave generously of his time, shared his knowledge, mentored others, and stood beside those who needed support. His legacy lives on in the children he advocated for, the people he encouraged, the church he loved, the friendships he cultivated, and the family who cherished him.

To Georgia, Stella, the Boswell family, his church family, and his many friends, Jeff leaves a profound sense of loss. Yet his example endures: to live faithfully, serve generously, encourage others, and find joy in their successes. His life truly mattered, and the good he did will continue long after his passing.

May Jeff rest in the peace of the Lord he loved and served so faithfully. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished by those whose lives he touched.
