GENE HAYWARD RABITSCH

Gene H. Rabitsch, age 81, of Millen, passed away Monday evening, April 4, 2022, at PruittHealth-Bethany in Millen, GA.

Gene was born on September 29, 1940, in Jenkins County to the late couple, Fed Rabitsch and Cora Burke Rabitsch.

In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Louise Taylor Rabitsch, and his sons, Ricky Rabitsch and Steven Rabitsch.

Gene is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jean & Bruce Barefoot of Sparta, NC; sons and daughter-in-law, Glen & Beverly Rabitsch of Sylvania, GA and Michael Rabitsch of Millen, GA; grandchildren, Katherine L. Cook, Brandy Taylor Stewart, Bobbie Jo Cunningham; and great-grandchildren, De’Ondre Shamar Scott, Taylor Shane Stewart, Shayla RayAnn Stewart and Lila Bell Stewart.

A graveside service will be held at Big Horse Creek Baptist Church Cemetery on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Butch Taylor officiating.

Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
