Donald "Don" Allen Brower, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at the age of 67 in his hometown of Sylvania, GA. Born on March 7, 1958, Don spent his life in a community he deeply cherished and made an impact on all who knew him.
Don retired after 17 years with Gulfstream as a Lead Coordinator, and previously worked in maintenance at Georgia Pacific.
Outside of work, Don found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, often found enjoying the tranquility of nature. An exceptional cook, he loved sharing meals with family and friends. Additionally, his love for camping was a testament to his deep appreciation for the great outdoors. He was indeed an all-around awesome man with a heart of gold.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Harold Brower Sr. and Rosie Brower, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms.
Don is survived by his cherished wife of 46 years, Sue Brower; his son, Don Brower, II; his loving siblings, Michele Brower Morrison and John Harold Brower, Jr.; his sisters-in-law, Mary Williams and Millie Waters; and his brother-in-law, Ray Waters (Kim). Don also leaves behind his beloved pets, Dee, Blue, Fern Gully, Max, and Bella Bell, who brought him immense joy.
The funeral service will be held at 12:00pm on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at Union Baptist Church, with a visitation one hour before the service.
Interment with follow the service in the church cemetery.
