Danny Kay Elliott

Sylvania – Danny “Dan” Kay Elliott, age 59, passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2021, at his residence in Sylvania. He was born in Dillon County, SC to the late Billy Kay & Sue Griffin Elliott.  He worked as a crane & rigging superintendent for Bechtel Co. for the last 3 years and was a member of Grace Bible Baptist Church.  He loved to cook for his family and friends, was an avid Harley-Davidson motorcycle rider and enjoyed working on his John Deere. He was a proud American, loving his country and its flag. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Ronnie McCauley.

Survivors: Wife: Anita M. Elliott of Sylvania; Step-Son: Christopher Lance Williams of Springfield, GA; Sisters: Karen E. McCauley and Sheila Elliott, both of Columbia, SC; Grandchildren: Alysha Williams, Collins Williams and Brandon Williams; Nephew: Matt McCauley of Columbia, SC; Niece: Shannon Townsend of Columbia, SC; Beloved Chocolate Lab: Calamity Jane, who brought him great comfort.

Visitation: Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 8:00PM.

Graveside Service: Thursday, August 12, 2021, at 2:00 PM at the Broken Spoke Ranch Cemetery, located at 4541 Buttermilk Road, Sylvania, with Dr. Warren Devevo officiating. Burial following.
