Chad Edward Barrs, Sr.

Chad Edward Barrs, Sr., passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at the age of 52.

Chad was born on August 2, 1973, and was a lifelong resident of Sylvania, Georgia. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend who brought warmth and laughter to all who knew him. Chad was married to his beloved wife, Hannah Towson, for 10 wonderful years.

He is survived by his loving spouse, Hannah Towson; his sons, Chad Barrs and Tristan Craun, both of Waynesboro and Parker Barrs of Effingham; his daughter, Gracie Finch of Pembroke; and his brothers, Leroy Barrs and Nikki Barrs, both of Milledgeville, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Craun, and his father, Leroy Barrs.

Chad had a deep love for fishing and cherished every moment spent with his family and friends. Known for his outgoing personality, he never met a stranger and had a gift for conversation that could light up any room. His sense of humor and ability to make others laugh will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He also shared a special bond with his American Pit Bull, Roxie, who was his constant companion and brought him great joy.
