Carl Richardson Hodges

Sylvania - Carl Richardson Hodges, age 69, passed away on Sunday morning, May 23, 2021 at Syl-View Health Care Center.  He was born in Screven County, GA to the late Hugh Franklin Hodges and the late Annie Lou Anderson Hodges. Carl was a member of Union Baptist Church. He enjoyed yardwork and raising chickens.  In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his sisters; Gail Roberts and Grace Meeker; and his brothers: Carroll "Pete" Hodges and James Hodges.

Survivors: Daughters and Son-in-Law: Amy and Darrell Malphus of Sylvania and Bridgett Ferguson of Bloomingdale, GA; Son and Daughter-In-Law: John Carl and Kirsten Hodges of Tennessee; Sisters: Florrie Bazemore of Sylvania and Hazel Lee of Portal; Brother and Sister-In-Law: Hugh Edward and Sandra Hodges of Sylvania; Grandchildren: Darrell Malphus, Jr.; Mudd Hodges and Gabriella Ferguson; and several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Visitation: Tuesday, May 25, 2021 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Union Baptist Church.

Funeral Services: Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Union Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Al Usher officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers: Ashley Bazemore, Richard Motes, Brandon Motes, Stuart Boykin, Jason Corbin and D. J. Rudd.
