Brenda Lee Geis

Brenda died in her home surrounded by her loving family in Sylvania, Georgia, at the age of 74. Brenda was born in Biloxi, Mississippi to Roswell and Dorothy Bridger. She was the first of 5 children. Brenda led a God-fearing life that enhanced a compassionate side for all people she met. She put herself through college to obtain her Bachelor's Degree in Social Work at the University of Wyoming, while raising two daughters alone. She touched the lives of many patients and people in Cheyenne, Wyoming while working at Mountain View Nursing Home and WACOG and Head Start in Kingman, AZ. She also worked at Canyon Creek Cabinet Company in Monroe, Washington where she met the love of her life, her late husband Michael Gitschlag.

 In 2015, Her and Michael moved to Sylvania, Georgia to live out the remainder of their lives. She continued to touch the lives of the community of Sylvania, Georgia while working at Freds, Donna's Bakery, and Ross Drug. She loved her church community at First Christian Church and will miss the fellowship at church and her final job. She sure loved her job at Ross Drug and spoke highly of all her coworkers.

 Beloved and missed immensely by her two daughters, Renee Cheriss Raison of Edmonds, WA, and Dynee Chanel Colosimo (Ryan) of Mechanicsburg, PA, her only Granddaughter Katlynn Renee Raison (Johnny Leiker) of Auburn, NE, and two Great-Grandsons Emory John Raison(3) and Jamison Parker Raison(1).She is also survived by her siblings, her sister Debbie Rose Moore (Darwin) of Edgewater, FL, Theresa Ann Schuldies of Cheyenne, WY, and Steven Mark Bridger (Kate) of Hardy, VA. She was adored and loved by many nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, and friends scattered throughout the US.

 Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved Michael, her brother Roswell Carter Bridger, Jr. (Skip). Brenda will be deeply missed in the community of Sylvania, GA and around the US due to her extremely friendly, caring, and outgoing personality. The family would like to send their deepest gratitude to all the community that has supported and loved her in her last days.In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations in Brenda's name to First Christian Church of Sylvania, GA.

 Brenda will be cremated and she requested that her ashes be scattered in Puget Sound in WA state and Smith Mountain Lake in VA, where many memories were made.
