Beatrice Lariscy

Ms. Beatrice Lariscy, 84, of Augusta, Georgia passed away on July 29, 2025, at Pruitt-Bethany in Millen, GA.

She was born to Harold and Annie Waters Lariscy on July 19, 1941, in Woodcliff, GA. She attended the Bay Branch Grammar School and then Screven County High School. After graduating, she attended Bob Jones University of Greenville South Carolina, Augusta University, and many corresponding courses, where she was revered as a “Perpetual Student”. In her lifetime she owned a office supply store, worked as a court reporter for Richmond County, a medical transcriber for University Hospital, and finally as an administrator for SRS until her retirement. She was an avid reader and loved to travel.

She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, James (Bernice) Lariscy, William (Joyce) Lariscy, Marvin Lariscy, and Thelma Lariscy Bowman, and brothers-in-law, Jake Bird and Walter Prevatt.

She is survived by sisters, Mary Bird and Dorothy “Dot” Prevatt; sister-in-law, Miriam Lariscy. As well as several nieces and nephews.

Pall bearers will be Bill Lariscy, Trey Lariscy, Randall Prevatt, Edwin Bird, and Nicholas Johnson.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Thompson Strickland Waters, Joiner Anderson Chapel with Pastor Charles Martin officiating, with an hour of visitation prior to the service.

Interment will follow in the Little Horse Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
