Barto Jenkins

Bloomingdale (formerly of Screven County) – Barto Jenkins, age 89, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2020, at Hospice Savannah. He was born in Screven County, GA to the late Rolanda & Winnie Calihan Jenkins. He was retired from the Savannah Police Dept. and retired from working as a security officer. He was U.S. Army Veteran having served during the Korean War Era. He was a member of Whitefield United Methodist Church in Savannah, GA. He was preceded in death by his Parents; his Wife: Sandra Altman Jenkins; Siblings: Mary Jenkins Johnson, Mattie Jenkins Waters, Bo Jenkins and Robbie Jenkins.

Survivors: Sons and Daughter-In-Law: Donald D. & Betty Brower of Bloomingdale, GA and William Randy Brower of Pembroke, GA; Brother: Charlie Jenkins of Millen, GA; Step-Children: Amy Rigdon of Savannah, GA, Angela & Howard Baker of Augusta, GA, Carl Brower of Savannah, GA and Jimmy & Trish Brower of Bloomingdale, GA; 3 Grandchildren; His Dogs: Tazz & Snicker; Several Nieces and Nephews.

Graveside Service: Wednesday, July 01, 2020 at Black Creek Methodist Church Cemetery at 11:00 AM with Rev. Robert Poston officiating. Burial following.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the service from 9:00 until 10:00 A.M.
