Odis Lafayette Dickey, Jr.

Jacksonville, FL – Odis Lafayette Dickey, Jr., age 84, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2019, at Haven Hospice in Orange Park, FL.  He was born in Screven County to the late Odis L., Sr. & Myrtle Smith Dickey.  He was a retired Draftsman and was of the Baptist faith. He was a 1953 graduate of Claxton High School.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years: Virgie Walker Dickey of Jacksonville, FL; Daughters and Sons-In-Law: Holly (Mark) Golden of Statesboro, GA, Leah (Darryl) Cates of Miami, FL, Denise Beardin and Amy (Jay) Ganci, all of Jacksonville, FL; Siblings: Myrtle Lee Johnson and Doris Best, both of Savannah, GA and James C. Dickey of Jacksonville, FL; Many Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews.

Graveside Service: Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Screven County Memorial Cemetery.  Burial following.

Honorary Pallbearers are his grandchildren, Breanne Hall, Justin (Johanna) Cox, Kyle Beardin, Haley Beardin and Cody Helton.
